PARTICIPATION

The conference will provide a comprehensive overview of research, technology and special applications in the field of accelerators. It is planned as a forum for novel ideas and should familiarise the participants with advanced concepts and help to establish interdisciplinary contacts.

Members of the whole community, European and non-European, are invited to participate and to contribute. Young scientists and students joining the field are particularly welcome.

PROGRAMME

In the planning of the programme emphasis will be placed on excellent review papers and, to reflect developments of particular interest in the accelerator field, three mini-sessions will give the state of the art concerning third generation synchrotron radiation devices, linear collider test facilities, and superconducting accelerator systems. A preliminary list of invited papers is given below. In order to provide young scientists with an opportunity to summarise their work in public, the policy of holding five-minute oral poster summaries will continue. Furthermore, the EPAC Programme Sub-Committee (PSC) has made a particular effort to avoid numerous oral sessions held in parallel, limiting them to two mornings, and leaving the afternoons with one oral session in parallel with poster sessions. Furthermore, the PSC has decided to adopt 'Spanish time' and sessions will therefore be scheduled between 09h00 and 19h00, with a lunch break from 13h00 to 16h00.

A preliminary programme and conference guide will be mailed to registered participants early in April, 1996. The final programme and abstracts brochure will be available upon registration at the conference.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Papers from the whole field of accelerators are solicited, including low- and high-energy machines and accelerators for medical and industrial purposes. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 5th January 1996 and they should be prepared according to the relevent instructions.

The Programme Sub-Committee (PSC), with the assistance of the Organizing Committee (OC) will decide, on the basis of abstracts, which papers are suitable for oral presentation. The rest of the papers will be presented as posters. Since no contributions are accepted for publication only, any paper accepted for presentation, which is not presented at the conference, will be excluded from the Proceedings. Presentation preferences must be announced clearly when submitting Abstracts.

In order to maintain the high standard of EPAC Proceedings and to keep them to a reasonable size, potential authors are reminded that only novel, original work should be submitted. Papers which have been published elsewhere will be rejected. The OC also invites authors of more than one paper to consider whether these contributions could be combined into a single paper, with due reference to other publications or internal notes .
