Seminar for Industry :
Meeting on Cooperation and Contracts
According to tradition, the conference programme will again include a session organized especially for representatives of industry. At EPAC 2000 the session will focus on technology transfer between accelerator based laboratories and industry, as well as on applications of accelerators as a tool for industrial research. The session is scheduled on Wednesday, 28 June 2000 during the afternoon.
Furthermore, in order to provide a forum for discussion for delegates and representatives of industry, a Meeting on Cooperation and Contracts will be organized following the plenary session. The afternoon will be organized as follows:
Part 1: Plenary Session on the Transfer of Technology and Applications of Accelerators as a Tool for Industrial Research
- The Challenge of Future Accelerators
- Technology Transfer from Accelerator Laboratories
- Application of Neutron Spallation Sources
- Application of Synchrotron Light Sources
Part 2: Meeting on Cooperation and Contracts
- Calls for Tender, Offers and Awards of Contracts: Procedures, Joint Ventures, Patents, Communication
- Experiences of Austrian Industry with Accelerator Centres
- Examples of Cooperation in the Field of High Technology
